A trichologist will deal with numerous conditions of the hair and scalp – some are not curable but can be controlled.  There are however, many hair and scalp conditions which can be successfully diagnosed and treated by a trichologist.

Trichologists adapt a holistic approach to treatment, ensuring to take into account many different factors, such as lifestyle, diet and wellbeing as a whole, as well as the signs and symptoms present.

The consultation process is very thorough and may take up to an hour. During the consultation, all aspects of your scalp/hair problem will be discussed length to determine the correct diagnosis of your condition. The Trichologist will then conduct a thorough examination of your hair and scalp, which may include the use of a scalp microscope or magnifying glass.

We offer in-person trichology consultations at our Harley Street clinic in London. For first time patients (initial consultations), we take an in-depth look at your hair and scalp for 60 minutes. For any appointments thereafter, we offer 30 minutes follow-up consultations to monitor your progress.
